48 Days Later...

So it's been a good month and a half since I've posted...I don't even know where to begin because so much has happened that I would never remember it all. I suppose I'll hit the highlights and hope to be better in the future at documenting the things I wish to remember. Well, nothing says, "I'm a big boy," like the picture below...WITH NO PACIFER! :) This is old news at our house, but still worth noting. I don't remember the day, but is was in January...suffered from the binky blues for a few, but for the most part got over it quickly. (With or without the help of a book mom sent me, Pacifiers are Not Forever.) He may be 22 months old, but the boy wasn't born yesterday. He LOVES for you to read books to him--so I read it to him once, and after that I'd hold it up and ask to read and he would run the other direction...clenching paci for dear life. Lucky for us, Mario won the Battle of the Binky. If it were left up to me, he'd probably be driving to pick up his first date with it...moving on...
Does it get any sweeter than these two??

Jaiden turned five this month. FIVE. I'd better not get started on this one...been a little emotional today in the first place.

Here are a few more pictures of the two. They are crazy about each other!

Obviously wearing his big sis's shoes :)

My favorite time of the day...smellin' good from their baths, teeth brushed, and ready to snuggle up to momma for bedtime!
Other highlights of the past 45-60 days included me turning 27...MARIO PASSING THE SERIES 6 EXAM!!!!, AND WELCOMING MY NEW NEPHEW CROSBY GRANT INTO THE WORLD! Aside from that, we have just been busy busy BUSY. I am hoping to get back into the swing of things in the blog world and catch up on everyone's reads...Sorry for my lack reading and commenting!
And lastly, you may have noticed the new song I added. I heard this for the first time today, (maybe you've already heard it before??) but I encourage you to listen to the words. Our message today was about whole-hearted worship and how easy it is to forget that worship is not just about singing at your church, but an attitude and a way of life--having a heart for God in everything that you do. The words I kept remembering were:
Take a break from all the plans that you have made
and sit at home alone and wait for God to whisper,
Beg him please to open up his mouth and speak
and pray for real upon your knees until they blister.
Shine the light on every corner of your life
until the pride and lust and lies are in the open,
Then read the word and put to test the things you've heard
until your heart and soul are stirred and rocked and broken....
This is so close to where I am right now--busy making plans, but needing to hear from God. We are at a point of making some major decisions as a family that concern our future and I am scared outta my shorts! I have a tendancy to think things through until I'm sick at my stomach which is what I have done for the last three months! ha! What's amazing though is God's timing and the study we are wrapping up with Beth Moore on the book of Esther. (Unbelievable if you haven't had the chance to do it! And I'm not even caught up on the homework yet!) I'm so thankful for the study that has put a lot of emphasis on our own personal destinies and how God is at work in our lives. All that to say that it was a great reminder that I should be worrying less and blistering my knees more.
Have a great week!

Jeryn is such a precious little boy! I remember how Logan lost his paci, it fell out of the truck in a Wal-Mart parking lot in Montrose, Colorado. We told him it was gone and he never asked for it again.

I'm praying for you family, and we all know that God will show you the best decision if you trust Him. I've had to lean on Him alot in the last few days. How do you get through a loss without Jesus to lean on?

I love that..."worrying less and blistering my knees more." Love it and I need to do that too! I'm glad you are back. I've missed you. Your children are just so gorgeous (I know I have said that before...they just ARE)! I'm so glad Crosby is here. He is a cutie! I'll be thinking about you and the decisions you are making!

Welcome back! Love the pics.

Were you bragging about ditching the pacieso that some of your readers would feel guilty for allowing their almost 3 year old to have one???? Hope they caught the message...whoever they are!!!

Judy and I got on our knees before the Lord yesterday and asked Him to provide you and Mario with wisdom about the decision that are looming so large before you.
We can't begin to tell you how much we love all of you and are praying for God's best for your lives.
