Six years ago, my life changed forever in a wonderful way. The feeling that I had the first time I laid eyes on this girl was like none that I had ever felt before. Scared too death, I actually asked to stay an extra night in the hospital because I was so afraid I wouldn’t know what to do. The same little girl I had talked to, played music to, prayed over and dreamed about was finally in my arms!
She was perfect. She was sweet. She was precious. She was beautiful.
She brought joy in a time of grief.
We couldn’t take our eyes off of her.
PaPa tried to make her watch basketball while she was still at the hospital.
Family and friends made special trips to see and hold her.
She brought smiles to our faces and love to our lives.
I think these guys were even spotted running across the hospital parking lot when they returned from a mission trip the day after her arrival.
She grew so fast…
And changed so often…
She went with me EVERYWHERE.
All of a sudden she was talking up a storm…

She was a daddy’s girl…
And style. 
2007
I wondered how she would adjust to being a big sister….
as she had us all to herself for the last few days before her baby brother came…
that it would be totally fine…
Being a big sister is one of the things she does best!!!!!
It seemed like once she became a big sister, the time sped up. Overnight she just had a different look about her. She was a big girl now! She was getting to be more and more independent….
She got big enough to ride a pony and have long talks…
Big enough to make friends and go to class…

She is still my baby…she’s just a little heavier to hold.
She wants to be a “cowgirl and an artist” when she grows up. She can read and write. She is thoughtful and kind hearted. She is a FUN kid! She’s my sweetie.
She is six years old today. Happy Birthday to our sweet Jaiden. May the Lord bless you today and always!

She really is the most beautiful little girl I have EVER seen (outside my own! ha!) I know you know she will be a basketball star one day but I expect to see her on cover of magazines! I know the most important thing is how sweet her heart is. She is just like her mom! Happy Birthday Jaiden!

What a beauty. I had tears in my eyes just looking at her pictures and I don't even know you or her! But I know my mommy heart...and that's where the tears came from. The immense love we feel for these beings are just sometimes beyond words!
